OCT. 4 IS LAST DAY TO BUY STARS OF TEXAS GALA TICKETS

SAN MARCOS, TX – The deadline is fast approaching to buy tickets for Central Texas Medical Center’s 21st annual Stars of Texas Gala, happening on Oct. 13 at Embassy Suites Hotel, Spa & Conference Center in San Marcos. Hays County’s premiere black tie event will feature gourmet dining and entertainment by Neal McCoy, who is returning for the second year in a row by popular demand.

Tickets to the Gala cost $200 and may be purchased by calling (512) 753-3687. The deadline to buy tickets is Friday, Oct. 4, and proceeds from the event will benefit CTMC expanding surgical services.

This year’s Gala will honor local philanthropist Miriam McCoy and her late husband, Emmett, along with their children.

“The McCoy’s have made numerous donations to CTMC through the years that help keep the hospital on the leading edge,” said Clay DeStefano, executive director of the CTMC Foundation.

Those who attend the Stars of Texas Gala will have a chance to participate in the silent auction, which will include two tickets to George Strait’s final concert in Dallas that will conclude the country music mega-star’s “Cowboy Rides Away” tour. The winning bidder of the tickets will also enjoy hotel accommodations.

Bidders will also have a chance to walk away with a 5-day, 4-night getaway to Ruidoso, New Mexico, autographed Spurs memorabilia and a guitar signed by Neal McCoy. Additionally, an autographed “Country Music Legends” acoustic guitar will be up for grabs, which is signed by Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill, Toby Keith, Willie Nelson, Shania Twain, Brad Paisley, Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, Kenny Rogers, Clint Black, Alan Jackson, George Strait and Wynnona Judd.

In recent years, the Stars of Texas Gala has benefitted CTMC’s expanding cardiac services, a new chest pain center, an expansion of the Women’s Center and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
