LIFETIME JOURNEYS: FREE CANCER SUPPORT GROUP FOR BEFORE AND BEYOND REMISSION

SAN MARCOS, TX – The CTMC Family Grief Center understands that grief comes in many forms. Having a diagnosis of cancer not only affects you physically but emotionally as well.

The CTMC Family Grief Center’s support program, Lifetime Journeys, assists patients, families and friends to understand the grief process, the emotional toll of their diagnosis and how to live through it in a transformational manner. Lifetime Journeys’ purpose is to provide patients, survivors and family members with a warm environment to express their feelings amongst others who are enduring or have endured cancer in the past.

The program is dedicated in assisting patients, families and friends as they endure the emotional roller coaster of cancer when they are first diagnosed, as they endure preliminary treatments and undergo treatments in the following months and years.

“We believe the holistic approach is crucial towards one’s health, and our center is dedicated to providing emotional support for the patient and their family and friends,” said CTMC Bereavement Coordinator Abel Rodriguez, LMSW, LCDC.

The Lifetime Journeys Support Group meets on the first Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. at the CTMC Family Grief Center, located at 1313 IH-35 North in San Marcos. There is no cost to participate, and dinner is offered. To register for a group, please contact Rodriguez at (512) 754-0322 or email Abel.Rodriguez@ahss.org
